Back in January or so, we had iRadon come out to upgrade our system fan at our home to reduce overall radon levels, since it appeared our current system didn't have enough capacity. After the upgrade, we ran a mail-in test in the basement, and the result we got back from Air Chek was 4.2 +/- 0.4 pCi/L -- this tracked roughly with what our electronic Airthings unit was displaying at the time, about 3.37 or so. Over the last several months, on the main floor, we were seeing averages anywhere from 2 to 5, and it was pretty inconsistent. I recently finally got around to removing a vent cap that roofers had put over the exhaust vent just prior to the upgrade - more or less immediately, our Airthings unit showed a considerable drop, and we're now consistently seeing 1-day averages well below 1.5 pCi/L, and our 7-day average is currently sitting around 1.02. The fan upgrade did indeed work, and that we appreciated your speedy (and cost-effective) solution.

TLDR: iRadon is the best, you wont regret hiring them! Andrew with iRadon is fantastic! I had a couple radon mitigation companies out to the house to give me an estimate and Andrew was the only one that listened to my concerns regarding system location, noise, and where power could be added to the fan. He based his recommendation on what could be done with what I told him I was looking for. This was great as the other companies did not listen to me and just told me what (I can only assume) would be the cheapest and easiest for them to install. During the system installation Andrew kept me up to speed on what was being done and how they were going to do it. They were mindful of not tracking dirt into the house and cleaned up the minimal mess they did make. Once installed, he showed me what they did, pointed out key things I needed to be aware of and made sure I knew I could reach out with any questions or concerns after they left. We re-tested our radon levels after mitigation and found that our numbers droped from over 10 to a little over 2-3. I reached out to Andrew to see if there was a way we could get below 2 per the EPA recommendation. He came out the following week and swapped out our fan free of charge! We tested again and our results are just above 1 now! Throughout this whole process it was clear that Andrew cared about me as a customer.  He ensured I understood what he and his crew were doing, what the cost breakdown was, and that I was happy with the entire thing. I could not recommend iRadon more!
